You need to use a 6 core 14/-2 (0.44mm Security cable, Tinned Copper).
It should have a V75 PVC sheath and be Oxygen-Free Copper. RoHS Compliant PVC
Do not use any single core cable like CAT5 or CAT6 as this does not comply to the AS/NZS 3000:2018 Electrical Installations – Known as the Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules.
The Prox Rex and Press Rex should be mounted as close as possible to the door at a height of 1200mm.
The Em Rex and Smart Em Rex should be mounted below the Prox Rex, Press Rex at a height of 1000mm.
Any request to exit devices must be located within 1.5m horizontally of the controlled door or a sign on the door complying with F8.3.1 advising user of the location of the request to exit device.

The best way to prevent unintended or malicious activation of our Em Rex and Smart Em Rex Emergency Egress devices is to use the Em Cover as a physical barrier to casual activation when the product is installed in a public area.
